A Day In a Place Where Bingo Was the Highlight.

I had a dentist appointement today. That means that I had to be out of bed around 7 and be showered to go into work with Mom by 8. We decided I should stay at the old folks home all day so I could get my last minute gift shopping done for Amber after Mom got off work.
So in the morning before I went I watched Golden Girls (one of my favotire shows) with an resident named Edna. She is pretty neat this Edna. She uses a cane to walk and it has a tote attached to she can hide stuff in it, like fresh fruit that she took from the fridge (hehe, BAD EDNA, I didn't tell on her tho, maybe because she likes Golden Girls) She rolls bandages for the soldiers in Iraq and I got to help her tie 'em up. She is one of the only residents who participates in the activities and she wears her hair in those dreadlock braid things (she is black so the style fits her) and it looks cool. I want to be just like her when I get there. Either her or Edris, another resident who can be a bitch to all the employees when things don't go her way. Her mind is still as sharp as a tack, even if she does wear her hair old lady style.
There is also Sis, she is Ryan's Grandma. Ryan is my older cousins Sarah's boyfriend. All Ryan's family call me and Tiffany "another Sarah". Sis is very nice and funny but she isn't quiet as sharp as Edris but she can tease and she is still shy-both of which are like Ryan.
Well at my dentist appointment as I was walking out the door Tav walked in. He was very friendly,between the opaque glass I thought he was Trent. So I was surprised when it was Tav.
Mom and I went out for subs at Breaduax for lunch. They were really good. The back to the Nursing home for boredom. I spent the afternoon playing tetris, tying bandages with Edna, listening to Edris leave all the other residents in the dust when it came to mind games, chatting with sis, making the messenger, typing a recipe, and chatting with random people.
After mom left work she took me to JCPenny's where I got my hair trimmed. I will post the new cut after a few weeks. I am too lazy to post something that boring immediately. I like the overall affect of my hair now, but I know some people won't even notice the difference.
I have been getting ready for Ambers party. I really dont want to go because it means goodbye, but I am going because if I don't say goodbye i might never get a chance too plus i want to be tehr 4 her when she needs me and she will need all hr friends during the move.
Well that was my day at the old wrinkley peoples homes.
